Last week this was just a patch of grass. This week with about 3000 pounds of rock and four yards of earth added, (so far), it is becoming very satisfying.
Despite lots of fill to go, tonight we were able to finally plant our five rhodies. We have placed them in the shade of the cherry tree which will protect them from the high noon sun.
What a feeling knowing that a few days of ground work will bring years of endless enjoyment.
(Behind Moo Goo that's my new pink granite rock that I found ... and just had to have ... at a local nursery ... never thought I'd ever pay 12 cents a pound for rock! It's perhaps too overtaking right behind Moo Goo and front and centre .... we'll just have to move it around until it seems just right to all.)
Time to start planting our perennials around the rhodies ...... later alligators ...
