Today we backfilled the first corner of the Rhodie Bed nearest the deck and put Moo Goo in his permanent place.
Moo Goo is a Mugho Pine. Found at Wal Mart's garden centre just after our offer had been accepted, he has travelled with us from our old house to our new home.
It was a good choice to start with cause Mar loves pine.
His sticker says, "Compact globular form of pine. Excellent in smaller rock gardens. Great container plant. Full Sun. H 2-3 ft W 3-4 ft."
The other day I bought a neat piece of pink granite so I'll backdrop him with it till he outgrows and hides it, (then the granite can move off to another location ... the neat thing about gardens ... always evolving).
You're home Moo Goo, you're finally home!
... and he'll love that southern exposed corner ... it gets a full blast of sun all day long.
Our "20 Year Project". We're looking forward to building our brand new garden, year by year, from almost scratch. Apart from a few very small trees, our newly acquired tract is currently only a bare stretch of grass. So starting July 23rd, 2007 when we take possession it's "on with the show" ..... and please come back often and watch us grow!
Greetings from the Niagara!

She has them growing in her garden, plus has pictures of all, so great way to choose your own.
